Carvey: Comics ‘Afraid’
to Joke About Obama

Comedian Dana Carvey says many comics are “afraid” of aiming jokes at President Obama, fearing they will be “labeled” for criticizing the first black president. Carvey, on the other hand, comes from a different school of thought. In a recent interview, he said:
I always grew up with ‘question authority.’ I’m from the old school. You go where the power is and you try to make fun of it. When it becomes off-limits to say or do certain things without being brutalized or censored or whatever, it’s unfortunate.
The Saturday Night Live alum, who has mocked presidents and politicians for decades, said attitudes have shifted in his industry. “If you live in New York or L.A. and you’re liberal and you’re playing to a liberal crowd, it’s almost like a rally — it’s not edgy,” Carvey said. A self-professed “centrist radical moderate with libertarian strains,” Carvey has come to the defense of his conservative friend Dennis Miller and fellow comedian Jon Lovitz, who criticized Obama back in 2012, as Western Journalism notes.

In walks Don Rumsfeld unannounced & they all say to him “Hello Asshole” ~

UN panel slams US for
police brutality, torture

A UN report has condemned the United States for violating the terms of an international anti-torture treaty. The panel took Washington to task for police brutality, military interrogations, and capital punishment protocols. Released by the UN Committee Against Torture, the report took issue with the excessive use of force by law enforcement and accused the US police force of racial profiling. The report was released on Friday, just days after the contentious decision of a Missouri grand jury not to indict a white officer accused of shooting Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen. The decision triggered a wave of protests nationwide.

Why is the Supreme Court “Preparing to hear arguments”?
Why don’t they do like they usually do and decline to take the case? Why does it always have to be some guy named “Rothbard”? I’ve been warning you for several years now about the “Supreme Court”. It needs to either be enlarged to 45 or even 90 * members, have its jurisdiction severely constrained, or entirely gotten rid of. (Condensed) Eliminating the Court altogether before it causes even further damage to the Republic would be the preferred course of action, but would require a Constitutional amendment.

Controlling free speech is so impossibly hard now I think the few will fail to control the many and it will blow up in their faces. And go to one of several countries where you might hear over thirty different languages being spoken before you tell the world you know what “Freedom of speech” is, please.
