According to The Mail on Sunday, police and MI5 have received intelligence suggesting the assassination plot is being orchestrated from Syria by Islamic State commanders. The extremist plot is believed to involve explosions using deadly pressure cooker bombs with the intention of causing a high numbers of casualties, as thousands of members of the public are expected to line the streets around Whitehall and Westminster Abbey.
The Mail Online reports that sources have told the publication that a “specific threat was made against the Queen”, prompting an urgent review of security arrangements by Scotland Yard.

Police in Harris County, Texas have taken one man into custody after 5 children and 3 adults were found dead inside a home, TV station KHOU reports. News channel ABC13 cites investigators who say the incident began as a welfare check Saturday at a home on Falling Oaks Road, around 9:30 p.m., local time. Deputy Thomas Gilliand with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office says it was determined that a man at the home had outstanding arrest warrants. A standoff began after police who were looking inside the home through a window noticed “what appeared to be a juvenile dead on the floor,” ABC13 reports.

Clearly the type of person who should be placed in a position of governmental power.

Lois Lerner, the central figure in the IRS targeting controversy, called Abraham Lincoln the country’s worst president in an email disclosed in a bipartisan Senate report, according to USA Today. “Look my view is that Lincoln was our worst president not our best,” Lerner wrote in an email dated March 6, 2014.
Lerner, the former IRS director of Exempted Organizations, joked in one email that the 16th president should have just let the South secede, rather than fighting the Civil War. “He should [have] let the south go,” Lerner wrote in response to a friend who disparaged Texas as a “pathetic” state. “We really do seem to have [two] different mind sets.”
And what is your “mind set” Ms. Lerner? That government officials should target American citizens if they hold political views you don’t like? The report also highlighted emails written by Lerner calling conservatives “crazies” and “a–holes.”
